The cv joint felt very "gritty" when I rotated it in my hand. Almost sounded like it was low on grease. I spent hours trying to contact All Balls racing with no luck. The company is basically a ghost. I decided to go ahead and install it since there was no chance at returning for a refund. I installed the axle in my 2017 X3 xrs. It has a ton of up and down play in the transmission. "In and out" play is normal for these types of axles but "up and down" is not. It was so loose that I felt it would probably spin and strip the splines inside the transmission. I pulled it back out and bought another brand of axle. The new axle feels like it should. Wasted $120 on this All Balls axle just to throw it in the trash.
