Great sound, couple downfalls keep it from 5 stars , September 25, 2016

This is a great sounding unit. Installed it about 6 months ago on my Can Am Maverick and it's really been tested. Jumps, fast bumps, hill climbs, mud holes, accidental ditch or 2, creeks, massive dust, and pressure washer...its held up very well and never even moves from spot on roll cage. Wear your seat belt when hitting any jumps or berms though, ask my head how it knows. But to get to the couple issues that I have noticed:
1) For a nice enclosed waterproof system I can't understand why they would choose to use metal fastening screws that will rust. After six months of use almost all of the screw heads that were once a matching black color are now showing significant rust and it honestly kind of puts a black eye on an otherwise sharp looking
2) To get Bluetooth option to work I have to make my device forget the MTX Bluetooth signal link and repeat the pairing procedure EVERY single time I turn the key off. This takes a couple of minutes and is a pain while your trying to drive to keep the rest of the group from leaving you. Also not sure how this would affect connecting extra Bluetooth speakers to the unit. It's been this way since day one and I've tried using iPad, iPhones, and Samsung Galaxy phones. On the bright side, the system actually produces better sound when using an aux cord or even the USB connector if you have music on a jump drive versus the Bluetooth.
Yeah I could gripe a little about headroom, but hey it's an awesome multi feature Soundbar that fits underneath my factory roof and doesn't interfere with my 2 piece windshield. LED dome light is bright enough to be useful but don't expect anything too crazy (convenient to use when on trailer or in garage and need a little interior light because it will work without your key/Soundbar power on).
All in all, I would definitely recommend this MTX Mudsy Soundbar. You get some needed bass from the four 6.5's mixed in with some nice clear high's from the four built in tweeters. Plenty loud enough to drown out (or tone down) the sound of my dual pipes and 101hp motor on Maverick at 3/4 throttle and if you've ever rode in a Mav cab you know that's saying something.

I purchased two of these for a Polaris and a Mule. One arrived damaged and the other perfect. Side by Side has excellent customer service and immediately sent an Return shipping label and shipped another one prior to receiving the damaged one. This is a top notch, customer focused company.
As for the speaker, it is an excellent addition to the vehicles. I have not put either through any abuse since installing, but the speakers seem to be a good mix of quality and sturdiness and I have no fear I will be disappointed when put to the test.
